About
Once Human Guide is written and maintained by the Once Human Guide crew, a small group of Once Human players led by Yao. We play together, trade notes on where we got stuck and what got us past it, and turn what we work out into guides on this site. Guides are sorted by scenario: each scenario runs on its own servers, so each gets its own hub, starting with Isles of Abyss.
Once Human Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Starry Studio or NetEase. Once Human and related names are trademarks of their owners. We use no official logos, game art or screenshots; icons on this site are drawn by us.
How we write these guides
- Built from sources, not our own test runs. Pages are compiled from the official patch notes and developer blogs, plus videos and forum threads by other players, and checked against what came up in our own discussions. We do not claim to have tested every step ourselves. Every page lists its sources, and all of them are collected on our credits list.
- AI-assisted drafting. We use AI to help draft and translate pages from those sources. One of us then checks each fact against the sources and edits the page before it goes live.
- Facts are credited, not copied. We extract facts and point back to the original. We don’t reproduce other people’s text, images or video.
- Marked uncertainty. When only one creator or one player report backs a claim, the page says so next to it. When official sources disagree (for example, two different permanent-server dates), we write both down.
- Version-stamped. Each page shows “Updated <date> · Game v<version>”. When an update makes a page wrong, it gets an Outdated notice until we rewrite it.
Guides are written in English first. The Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, German and Spanish versions are translations of the English pages and follow the same sources and version stamps.
Corrections and updates
Once Human ships a new patch every few weeks, and one balance change can make a step or a number wrong. After each official patch note we re-read the pages it touches, update the version stamp, and add a line to the page’s change log. If a fix needs more work, the page shows an Outdated notice until it is rewritten.
Spot an error or a missing credit? Email hello@oncehumanguide.com or use the contact page. Tell us the page and, if you can, the patch version you are on. We read every message, fix confirmed errors and credit corrections that come from players. Copyright and takedown requests go to the same address.
