The five sea areas
You start in Fragrant Cape, the one sea without Haywire weather. The other four each have their own Haywire weather, a counter item and a resource you can only gather there. Sea names link to their own page once it is written; the Isles of Abyss hub has dates and every guide.
| sea area | Haywire weather | counter | signature resource |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fragrant Cape | no Haywire weather | — | Basic supplies |
| Reefshadow Bay | Mist of Deceit | Blaze Core Lantern | Mist of Deceit Wicks |
| Spring Valley | Time Rain | Time-Reverse Raincoat | Bottled Raindrops |
| Misty Marsh | Black Tide | Black Tide Protective Mask | Black Tide Clots |
| Falling Ember | Skyfire | None. Tough hull, keep moving | Skyfire Gold |
Haywire zones change with the scenario phase. Official sources say “a starting area and four Haywire Zones”; “five sea areas” is our shorthand.
