Short answer: Yes, Once Human has full crossplay. PC (Steam or Epic), Android, iOS, PS5 / PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S players can add each other as friends, team up and share servers, and PS5 and Xbox players can play together. Progress carries across platforms once you link your accounts (PC: Settings → Account → Link Account). Two limits: you can only play with people in the same region, and servers tagged [Console] are console-only. To land on a friend’s server, pick it under Scenario Selection → More Servers, or use their Special Invitation Code if it’s full.

Starry Studio keeps version content, events and scenario pacing the same on every platform, with a few platform-specific exceptions. The Isles of Abyss update, for example, went out on “all platforms, including PC, console, and mobile” in one maintenance on Oct 21, 2026 (PT). The game is free to play on all of them. On console you don’t need PS Plus or Game Pass Core.
Console regions at launch were North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Korea, and HK, MO and TW.

Does Once Human have crossplay?
Yes, across every platform. Starry Studio’s console FAQ says PS5 and Xbox have “full cross-platform play” with PC and mobile, and that players can “add each other as friends, team up, and play together across platforms.”
| playing together | allowed? |
|---|---|
| PC with mobile | yes |
| PC or mobile with PS5 / Xbox | yes, on cross-platform servers |
| PS5 with Xbox | yes |
| players in different regions | no |
| PC or mobile on a [Console] server | no, console only |

Cross-platform servers vs console-only servers
When you pick a server you choose between two kinds:
- Cross-platform servers have no tag in their name and accept any device.
- Console-exclusive servers have a [Console] tag (for example
[Console] RaidZone_Isles_Abyss-A0001) and only PS5 and Xbox can play on them. Console players find them under Scenario Selection → More Servers → Console-Exclusive Server.
If you put a character on a console-only server, you can still see that character from PC or mobile, but you can’t enter and play it there.

Cross-progression and account linking
Your progress follows your game account, not your device. Once you link your platform accounts, the same characters and data load on PC, mobile and console.
Sign in on the platform where your characters are. On PC go to Settings → Account → Link Account; on mobile, Settings → Link Account at the bottom of the screen. You can also use the official linking page. Do this before your first console sign-in if you can. On console, you can also link from the top-right corner of the login screen before creating a character.
If you might play on PC or mobile later, link on console the same way, through the NetEase Loading Bay, or by authorizing your console account when you sign in on mobile.
Rules worth knowing before you link:
- Linking isn’t merging. If both accounts already have characters, you keep one account’s characters and the other account’s characters are discarded. Accounts with characters older than 30 days are protected; link to an empty account instead.
- One PSN or Xbox account per game account. A PSN or Xbox account can only be linked to one game account.
- Unlinking takes 30 days. You can unlink a PSN or Xbox account only after it has been linked for 30 days. A game account that was linked to one PSN account can’t later be linked to a different PSN account.
- One device at a time. Signing in on another platform logs the first device out.
- Cosmetics carry over. Cosmetics and other account assets on the same account and region are generally shared across platforms.

How to play with friends
Friends and teams work across platforms. To get onto the same server:
Check the region in the top-right corner of the sign-in screen. You and your friend must be in the same one.
Server choice opens at Scenario Selection after the tutorial.
Ask for the server name shown in their character’s sign-in info, then choose it under Scenario Selection → More Servers.
Your friend can share their Special Invitation Code from their character namecard (Player Info → Special Invitation Code), and you join with that. On Xbox you can also invite friends from the console friend list. Starry Studio says the PS5 version of that feature is still in development.
If your current scenario hasn’t reached its Rest Period, your first exit is free: Scenario → Scenario Description → Scenario Exit, then sign up for your friend’s server. If it’s already in the Rest Period, just sign up.
You can also form a sign-up squad so that the whole group lands on the same server when the leader signs up. For the Isles of Abyss server list, squad rules and the permanent server date, see Isles of Abyss servers.
